About
Monica Landry
B.Ed, R.Ac (NB)
I have been working as an allergist in Vancouver and the Comox Valley, BC since 2005. I started my second career by training in Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture at Langara College in Vancouver, BC.
The desire to continue my studies in complimentary medicine led me to the Bioset Institute in San Francisco to study an allergy elimination technique. Following that was more study and active practice under an experienced NAET practitioner in New Brunswick. Training in both Bioset and NAET provided me with a broader perspective for treating allergies.
Continuing my studies and delving deeper into auricular therapy, led me to Dr. Paul Nogier and the profound healing capabilities the ear offers. Incorporating all of these modalities provides the opportunity to look at the body and wellness from a holistic perspective.
In addition to my training in allergy desensitization, I have a Diploma in Acupuncture from Langara College in Vancouver and am a Registered Acupuncturist in New Brunswick. Acupuncture comprises of cupping (stationary and moving), gua sha and needling. I have additional training in Auricular therapy, Aromatherapy massage, Foot Reflexology, Hot stone massage, Healing Touch and Apitherapy for arthritis and MS.
I continue to update my education with workshops and conferences in acupuncture and auricular therapy. This multidisciplinary approach enhances the efficacy of the allergy treatments to restore health and balance to the whole body.
I now divide my Allergyfix practice between two locations: Courtenay (Comox Valley) on Vancouver Island, BC and Miramichi, NB. My interest in this health field was originally inspired by seeing a relative, who had suffered terribly with allergies, obtain immediate relief after being treated by a practitioner. All these years later, I am still excited to see the results auricular therapy offers.

ABOUT
Symptoms and disorders
Symptoms and disorders are the results of some kind of malfunction in the patient’s body. Any symptom can develop as a result of an imbalance with basic nutrients.
Initial testing focuses on basic nutrients that may be preventing the body from metabolizing or utilizing specific nutrients in food. This approach is used when there is no immediate allergic reaction and the cause of the symptoms is unknown.
This explains why sometimes “eliminating foods from your diet” doesn’t always give the expected relief from symptoms. Once the problem nutrients are found and treated, the symptoms linked to that nutrient are eradicated.
